CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — About 500 people gathered for a vigil for the student who was critically wounded in the Arapahoe High School shooting.

Students and others held candles Saturday night to show support for 17-year-old Claire Davis. The senior was shot Friday afternoon and was in critical condition at Littleton Adventist Hospital.

Friends and well-wishers have been posting prayers online and some are raising money to help pay for her medical care.

Senior Chris Davis helped organize the fundraiser in hopes of helping his classmates and the larger community heal. A sign he posted read "Warriors always take care of one another," an unofficial school saying often referenced during morning announcements.
