Colorado Springs police say the victim of a shooting Wednesday outside a 7-Eleven store on East Fountain Boulevard was a 52-year-old man who is being treated for non-life threatening injuries at Memorial Hospital.

The man and family members were selling items in the parking lot around 8:20 p.m. when they were confronted by at least three people in a possible attempted robbery, police said. No names were released.

The victim was shot once during a struggle between family members and the assailants. One family member was hit with a stun gun, a second was hit in the head with an unknown object and a third was threatened with a gun. The three were not injured.

One assailant may have injuries from being stabbed or slashed, police said. Police are asking anyone with information to call 444-7000.
