Banks and credit unions: Most banks and credit unions closed. Check with individual locations.

Buses (Metro Transit): Regular bus service. 

Government offices: City, state, county and federal offices closed.

Libraries: All Pikes Peak Library District branches open regular hours.

Postal Service: Office closed and no mail service.

Public schools: Some school districts closed; check individual districts.

The Gazette: Open regular hours.

Malls, major department and grocery stores: Most open regular hours


Veterans Day events and programs — Many local schools are having programs and events to teach students about Veterans Day. Check with individual schools for programs open to the public.

Pass Giveaway — Three 20-ride tickets for fixed-route buses and/or Metro Mobility will be given to veterans. Enter drawing with name, rank and branch of service under Veterans Day Giveaway post on   or send email to \. Drawing will take place Tuesday.
