NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — An Upper Peninsula museum is hosting a Father's Day antique auto show that will celebrate the historical link between the region's iron mining heritage and the automobile industry.
The show is Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Iron Industry Museum in Marquette County east of Negaunee. More than 50 rare and classic vehicles will be on display. The event also will feature food concessions, ice cream, jazz and swing-era music and a one-act comedy performance.
All vehicles to be featured were manufactured between 1900 and 1969 and are either in original or restored-to-original condition. Among them will be Model A's, Model T's, touring cars and pickup trucks.
The museum entrance is on U.S. 41 E, one mile west of Junction M-35.
