Focus on the Family President Jim Daly sat down with U2 lead singer Bono to discuss how music, activism, and faith unite to inspire the musician.

"Insecurity is your best security if you're an artist. You write out of that hole, that void.. They call it 'the God-shaped hole.' But music fills it," Bono said, according to a transcript provided by Focus on the Family. "And what's so powerful about the Psalms are, as well as they're being Gospel and praise. songs of praise, they are also the Blues."

Not a typical interviewee for a Focus on the Family broadcast, perhaps, but Daly "really admires Bono and the work that he does," said Carrie Kintz, Focus on the Family media contact. Focus on the Family promotes a global mission that works to serve people in need and helps families thrive.

In the interview, Bono discusses how his activist work with HIV/AIDS and poverty is driven by his faith.

To hear the full interview, tune in at 7 a.m. Tuesday on KGFT 100.7 FM or listen online at focusonthefamily.com/bono. The audio is available up to 30 days after the airdate.
