The Colorado Department of Transportation announced Friday that it expects to reopen U.S. 160 over Wolf Creek Pass early Saturday morning.

The road, which authorities closed on June 20 due to area wildfires, will open at 6 a.m. Highway 149 between South Fork and Creede, a 22 mile stretch, will remain closed.

Motorists are urged to visit the CDOT website, coloradodot.info, for the latest information on road conditions.
