Colorado Springs police are on the lookout for two men who held a couple at gunpoint Saturday night, firing a shot to threaten them.

A man and a woman told police they were about to get into their car at about 11:42 p.m., on East St. Vrain and Juanita Streets, when two men approached them menacingly and demanded their valuables.

One of the men was armed with a handgun and fired a shot into the ground, the victims said.

The second robber took the woman's purse, but he did not brandish a weapon, police said.

Both men then got in a '90s Cadillac sedan waiting nearby and fled southbound on Juanita Street.

Anyone with information can call Colorado Springs police at 444-7000.
