Two men were arrested following reports of shots fired from a vehicle Wednesday in east Colorado Springs, police said.

The men, whose names police did not release citing an open investigation, were arrested on suspicion of possession of weapons by a previous offender, traffic violations and accessory to a crime, police said,

Residents at the Hunting Meadows Condominiums on the 4000 block of Hawks Lookout Lane, off South Chelton Road, told police an unidentified man had fired several rounds from a burgundy car about 9 p.m., then drove away. No one was injured in the shooting.

Investigators learned a wanted person had just left the condominiums in a car matching the one described by witnesses and tracked the person to an address on University Drive, police said.

Police in the area stopped the burgundy sedan and detained its passengers, recovering a handgun from the vehicle, police said.

Two juvenile females involved were cited for curfew violations.

Anyone with information can call police at 444-7000.
