Firefighters are investigating the cause of a two–alarm fire that destroyed a home in Cimarron Hills Wednesday night.
More than two dozen firefighters responded to the 1200 block of Hathaway Drive just after 7 p.m. to find the back of a two-story house engulfed in flames.

Two adults and a child were in the house when the fire started and were able to escape safely, Cimarron Hills Fire Chief Matthew Love said. The family’s two dogs also escaped the flames.
A neighbor, Margaret Luna, and her family heard popping and saw their neighbor’s backyard glowing red.
Firefighters battled the flames for about an hour and removes oxygen tanks from the home before exploded. No other houses were burned.
