Notice someone new on Fox21 newscasts lately? That’s Ashley Giovanna, KXRM-TV’s new sports director and anchor who joined the station at the end of April.

“We are thrilled to have Ashley join the Fox21 team,” said Fox21 news director Joe Cole. “Viewers will quickly notice her vast sports knowledge and overall love of sports. She will be spearheading our charge into covering the local sports market including high school, local colleges, Sky Sox baseball and everything in between.”

Born in Ohio and raised in Texas, Giovanna attended St. Mary’s College in Indiana, which is the sister school of the University of Notre Dame. She started her career as a production assistant with Comcast SportsNet Houston before moving on to Comcast SportsNet New England. Before coming to Colorado, she was the sports director/anchor at NBC affiliate KTEN in Denison, TX.

“I am thrilled to join the Fox21 sports team,” said Giovanna. “With a number of talented teams and standout athletes in our area, I look forward to providing great local coverage for our viewers.”
