“American Idol” became a pop culture phenomenon when it debuted in 2002. Eventually, however, the show’s luster faded and Fox cancelled the series after a 15 season run. ABC recently picked up the franchise and is dusting it off for a new wave of viewers for the 2017-18 TV season.
Of course with the show starting anew, producers are looking for new talent. To find potential contestants, ABC is holding auditions across the country, including Colorado. If you want to make a strong first impression, be sure to find the Idol Bus when it rolls into the Centennial State. It’ll be in Denver on August 26. Where and what time it’ll be available hasn’t been announced yet, so you probably want to sign up for ABC audition alerts right here.
If you’re not around on August 26 or don’t want to drive to Denver, hopefuls can submit audition videos online at americanidol.com, or by displaying their skills via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or musical.ly using the hashtag, #TheNextIdol. Think you have what it takes to be the next Kelly Clarkson or Taylor Hicks? There’s only one way to find out.
