The Grow Store on West Colorado Avenue seems to also cultivate traffic crashes.
A motorist crashed into the business Wednesday, the second time this year.
About 8:10 p.m., a 30-year-old man who was westbound on Colorado Avenue drove a white pickup into the front of the store; two employees were inside. The driver told police he swerved to avoid a vehicle going north on 7th Street.
"He ended up over-correcting, losing control," Colorado Springs police officer B.D. Macomber said. "He struck a light pole, a tree, veered off onto the sidewalk and hit the building."
Macomber said there was no major structural damage to the building, though the storefront was destroyed.
The driver was not injured. One of the employees sustained minor injuries to his shin and was treated at the scene.
"He got buried under some stuff," said Jason Tran, one of the managers of the store, which sells hydroponics equipment, grow lights and fertilizers.
In January, an on-duty Colorado Springs police officer crashed into the building, too.
