Three people were arrested Monday after allegedly burglarizing a home and leading officers on a brief car chase, Colorado Springs police said.

Around 3:30 p.m., officers were called to a home at the 900 block of Ellston Street, near Chestnut Street and Interstate 25, on reports of a burglary. They arrived to see the suspects, later identified as Dane Rago, Shannell McCarty and Shanna Horn, leaving the area in a car, police said.

When they attempted to stop the car, it sped away, police said. The brief chase ended with the car slamming into a curb.

Police said two people took off on foot. One was detained by a police dog, and the second by an officer. The driver stayed in the car and was also arrested.

Police said stolen property was recovered and returned to the victim.
