Mark Dillie, 23, was arrested Monday when police found him driving an allegedly stolen car and recovered suspected cocaine and meth and a handgun that also was allegedly stolen.

A routine license plate check around 4:30 a.m. in the area of Galley Road and Circle Drive became more serious when the vehicle Dillie was driving came back as stolen, according to Colorado Springs police.

After stopping the car on the 3300 block of Santa Rosa Street and waiting for back up units, officers took Dillie and a passenger into custody without incident.

A bag with approximately 57 grams of suspected cocaine, 1.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and the handgun were recovered, police said.

Dillie was booked into the El Paso County jail and held on a $50,000 bond, court records show.
