Popular carpenter Joanie Sprague will be in Colorado Springs Saturday to show off her master building skills.

The TLC "Trading Spaces" cast member will hold two seminars featuring affordable home fix-ups and how-to demonstrations at noon and 2 p.m. at the Colorado Springs Home and Landscaping Show. The show is Friday through Sunday at the Altered Reality Event Center.

Sprague's face might be familiar - she was the first runner-up on season six of "America's Next Top Model" in 2006. Her father introduced her to construction and handyman skills when she was a child. Nowadays she's passionate about helping other women learn their way around a handsaw.

The home show will feature hundreds of products for remodeling and updating homes, including interior and exterior improvements and gardening trends, as well as daily seminars on decks and kitchen remodels.

Antiques expert Michael Amosson of Viking Productions will appraise two antiques per person for free all weekend.
