HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Several towns and their boosters are trying to pump up attention to drive summertime tourism in Connecticut.

It's the second year of what tourism officials call the Fan Favorite Town program. The state tourism office invites residents and visitors to promote their favorite towns and post photos and videos on social media.

Clinton, Simsbury, Westport and other towns are posting videos promoting their hometowns.

Visitors to Connecticut's tourism Facebook page may vote for a favorite town.
