CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — More than 500 tourism professionals are coming to West Virginia for a conference.

Travel South USA will hold the conference Sunday through Feb. 26 in Charleston and other parts of the state.

Tourism bureaus and private businesses from around the state will provide tours and sponsor events in an effort to increase travel bookings and make tour operators aware of destinations.

The conference was secured as part of a partnership between the state Division of Tourism and the Charleston Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Atlanta-based Travel South USA was formed in 1965 and seeks to promote travel within an 11-state region.
