WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (AP) — A ceremony is planned in West Memphis to honor organizations and individuals who help promote tourism in eastern Arkansas.

Arkansas Delta Byways will present the Delta Awards on Friday night at Southland Park Gaming and Racing. The group is a nonprofit organization that promotes tourism in 15 eastern Arkansas counties.

Finalists for awards include the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center, the World War II Japanese American Internment Museum in McGehee and others.

The group will also honor the outstanding tourism person of the year and the outstanding member of the year.

Arkansas Delta Byways is located on the Arkansas State University campus.
