Two men shot at a house Sunday night when their attempts to break into it were unsuccessful, Colorado Springs police said.

Nearby residents of the home on the 2100 block of Chalmers Road, off Fountain Boulevard, called 9-1-1 to report shots fired around 11:35 p.m. and two men who fled on a brown or gold Cadillac.

Police discovered the men had tried to break into a home and fired several rounds at it as they were making their escape. Several rounds struck the house and went through the walls into the living room, but no one was injured.

Police did not have descriptions for either suspect, except to say they were both wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information can call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
