Fountain police said three persons of interest have come forward in connection with a fatal hit-and-run investigation.

Their identities will not be released because all three are juveniles, Fountain police said.

The hit-and-run took place near the intersection of Fountain Mesa Road and Grand Peak Road in Fountain at 8:50 p.m. Saturday just as police were investigating reports of a drunk man walking into traffic, apparently trying to get hit.

Officers found the man, who was reportedly in his 20s, lying dead on the road. The man's name has not been released pending positive identification by the El Paso County coroner and next-of-kin notification.

The three juveniles have been interviewed by Fountain police investigators and no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information can call Fountain police at 382-8555, or the Investigations Division Tip Line at 382-6956.
