Colorado Springs police, firefighters and Humane Society workers were called for a 18-wheeler rollover on Interstate 25 Saturday night.

The wreck happened when the semi-trailer rolled from the southbound lanes near the Fontanero Street exit just after 8 p.m. Three horses and the truck's driver were pulled from the crash. Police had no immediate information on the extent of injuries to the animals or the driver.

It was one of several crashes on the icy freeway Saturday after a snowstorm rolled through the Pikes Peak region.
