Three Colorado Springs jurists were selected this week as a finalists for a spot on the El Paso County Court bench.

El Paso County magistrates Jayne Candea-Ramsey, Jessica Curtis and Dulce Denise Peacock are vying for a vacancy left by the Sept. 14 resignation of El Paso County Court Judge Daniel S. Wilson. The three were picked Wednesday by a 4th Judicial District nominating commission.

Gov. John Hickenlooper will appoint the winning candidate. The governor has 14 days to make his selection under a process governed by the state constitution.

Comments regarding any of the nominees may be sent via e-mail to the governor at gov_judicialappointments@state.co.us.
