Police were on the lookout Wednesday morning after three men robbed a Denny's restaurant at gunpoint in east Colorado Springs and fled moments later, leaving no trace.

Officers arrived two minutes after the robbery was reported at 1:09 a.m. on 302 N. Academy Blvd., police said. According to witness reports, one robber pointed a gun at a customer and another removed an unknown amount of money from the register. All three robbers fled on foot but K-9 units did not find them.
