A look at this week's area hockey top performers:
Matt Serratore, F, Air Force
The jokes were flying about the junior not being welcomed home for the holidays as he put up three points for his uncle, Air Force coach Frank, against his father Tom's Bemidji State Beavers in Minnesota this weekend. Making his season debut, Serratore scored the Falcons' only goal in Friday's 4-1 loss and tacked on a goal and an assist in the first period Saturday night, staking Air Force to a lead it never gave up in a 5-1 series-tying win.
Alex Leclerc, G, Colorado College
The Tigers didn't make it to overtime against No. 17 New Hampshire without Alex Leclerc's 39 saves - seven short of his career high. He gave up five goals Friday and one he'd like back Saturday, but withstood two lengthy 5-on-3 power plays and gave CC a chance to win.
Trevor Gooch, F, Colorado College
The junior picked an opportune time for his first goal of the season - 1:03 into overtime - and added an assist to hand UNH its first loss.
