A look at this week's area college hockey top performers:
Mason Bergh, F, Colorado College
The Tigers’ “13-14-15” line – Bergh, Nick Halloran and Trey Bradley – could all be on this list, as each finished with at least three points, but Bergh’s haul (1 goal, 4 assists) led the group. His team-leading eighth goal sealed Saturday night’s series-tying win, one of CC’s most complete performances of the season.
Alex Leclerc, G, Colorado College
The goaltender made 41 saves in his first shutout of the season and the third of his career Saturday. His 13 saves during five minutes of Omaha’s top-ranked power play shut down what could have been a turning point in the game.
Jake Levin, F, Air Force
The freshman defenseman made his collegiate debut memorable, scoring the first and last goals in the Falcons’ 3-3 tie against Holy Cross on Saturday night. His first ended the team’s 140-minute scoring drought, and his second tied the game in the third period, helping the Falcons reach overtime and exit the weekend with a much-needed conference point and stay at .500.
