In a high-scoring and successful weekend for both Air Force and Colorado College, there were a lot of options to choose from. A look at this weekend’s top area college hockey performances:
Mason Bergh, F, Colorado College
Bergh’s three goals – all on the power play – in a home win and tie against Miami were timely. He had two Friday in building up a lead the RedHawks couldn’t overcome, and got the rally started Saturday, with Colorado College down 4-2 late in the second period. He also added an assist and was plus-3 on the weekend.
Trey Bradley, F, Colorado College
Bradley had a hand in half of the Tigers’ 10 goals this weekend, finishing with five assists. His season total of 19 assists is tied for fourth in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
Walker Sommer, F, Air Force
The freshman’s first career goal was a memorable one. He grabbed a Niagara turnover and scored the unassisted game-winner Friday night in the first half of an eventual series sweep. He also assisted on Brady Tomlak’s second-period tally.
