Yo, my peeps! Easter is just around the corner, and you know what that means — a two-week sugar high. Some of the most bizarre and beloved Easter basket denizens are, of course, Peeps.
Thus, The Great Peep-o-rama of 2007. We want you to get crafty with your Peeps and build dioramas starring the lovable little lumps of spongy sugar. How about Little Miss Peepshine, Peeperella, Peeple Rain, or Adam and Peep? Entries will be judged based on visual appeal, creativity and best use of Peeps. The most Peep-alicious will be unveiled in the paper on Easter Sunday, April 8, and lavished with goofy prizes. The deadline for entry is 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 27. You may enter by bringing your newly hatched creation to The Gazette or by e-mailing images to bill.reed@gazette.com (but don’t eat ’em, because we might need more pictures of winning Peeps). Call Bill Reed at 636-0226 with questions.
