The Modbo, with Claire Anderson, Lauren Andrus and Solveig Olsen, 6 p.m. Saturday, The Modbo, 17C E. Bijou St.; 9 p.m., ModboCo School of Art at Ivywild School, 1604 S. Cascade Ave., $12; 633-4240, themodbo.com.

For those who like a little bit of naughty in the Christmas stocking, "The Modbo Ho Ho" is the ticket.

Lauren Andrus, co-founder of The Modbo and S.P.Q.R., looks forward to organizing and performing in the R-rated holiday cabaret every year.

"It's one of my favorite things to do all year, to work on songs that everyone knows, and take them and add a twist and make them irreverent" Andrus says of the show, now in its fourth year.

Andrus gathers two of her closest singing friends, Claire Anderson and Solveig Olsen, to round out the trio. They sing the bulk of the show, but every year, varying local friends and performers join in. This year's list of singers and musicians include Willow Welter, Kevin Bennett, Max Ferguson, Ayanna Martinez, Trish Doyle-Stahl and Adam Biddle.

"Half the joy is how talented the singers and performers are," Andrus says. "They're so creative, and love coming up with ideas and pushing the envelope. It's one-night-stand theater. You put it together, you do it and you walk away."

This year is a little different. In addition to a performance at the downtown gallery, there will also be one at the ModboCo School of Art at the Ivywild School.

"We always do a version of 'I'll Be Home for Christmas' called 'I'll Be Stoned for Christmas,'" Andrus says. "And sometimes bad tap dancing is involved."
