In all likelihood, a 1-5 start isn't the recipe for a memorable season.

Then Blake Galvin helped turn things around for The Classical Academy girls' soccer team, witnessing a run that saw the Titans play in the Class 3A championship game for the fourth time in five seasons.

"There was a point early in the season I wasn't even sure if we were going to qualify," TCA coach Blake Galvin said after the loss in the championship game last month.

After taking over the helm of the program before the 2010 season, Galvin has led the most successful period in school history, playing for the state title in four of five seasons.

While the Titans are 1-3 in those games, they've rolled up an impressive 55-15-7 ledger overall.
