The Classical Academy's north campus was closed Monday after the body of a high school student was found, according to school officials.

Colorado Springs police said the death is being investigated as a possible suicide. No other details were released.

In a statement, school president Dr. Russ Sojourner called the death unexpected and tragic.

"It is with a very heavy heart that I convey sad news about a tragedy that has affected our TCA school community," he said. "A TCA High School student has passed away unexpectedly."

Located at 975 Stout Road in northern Colorado Springs, the campus houses an elementary, junior high and high school.

Classes will resume Tuesday, when school officials said counselors will be available for students and staff.
