Gazette Premium Content Texas inmate indicted in 2011 Colorado slayings

DENVER — A Texas inmate has been indicted on charges of killing two Denver men in 2011 and stealing their car and money.

Fifty-eight-year-old Daryl L. Rasmussen faces charges including first-degree murder, identity theft, credit card fraud and motor vehicle theft.

The indictment was handed down Tuesday and made public Wednesday.

Rasmussen is accused of killing 63-year-old Ronald Ford and 56-year-old Ramiro Sanchez at their Denver home. The coroner said both died of a blow to the head.

Police have said Rasmussen was a cross-dresser known as "Miss Puppy."

Denver prosecutors will seek his extradition from Texas, where he is serving time on a parole violation. He was previously convicted in Texas on theft and burglary charges.

Online records in Texas didn't indicate whether he has an attorney.
