A teenager was robbed of his cell phone by a man with a knife near a Colorado Springs middle school around 3:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

Police said the boy was waiting for a sibling after school near Corona and Yampa streets, near North Middle School, when a man with a knife got out of the backseat of a car and told the teen to empty his pockets. The man took the teen's cell phone and left in the car, police said. The vehicle involved is described as a tan, older model Subaru Legacy with a cracked taillight.
