Benefactor Alice Bemis Taylor quietly left her mark throughout Colorado Springs in the early 1900s by creating the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Colorado Springs Day Nursery and supporting Colorado College. Because she wanted music to always be available to the public at no charge, "Lady Bountiful" endowed the Taylor Memorial Concerts at then-Grace Episcopal Church.

The 2013 Taylor Memorial Concerts open with a recital on the grand organ at the church and feature French music performed by Deke Polifka, organist and choirmaster.

The "Afternoon in Paris" shares the sounds from Polifka's recent sabbatical in "La Ville-Lumiere" ("The City of Light").
