It was quite a wake-up call for the resident of a home near the intersection of San Rafael Street and North Hancock Avenue Tuesday morning when an SUV involved in a crash barely missed the house.

Colorado Springs were at the scene of a two-car wreck near the 1100 block of Palmer Park Boulevard shortly before 7 a.m. Two drivers involved in the crash were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries, police said.

The SUV was shoved onto the front yard during the crash, coming within inches of the home's kitchen and startling a resident, police said.

The home was not damaged.
