Colorado Springs police arrested a 20-year-old man Wednesday in connection with the death of a man who was found in a front yard just after midnight Tuesday.

Elton Lamar Johnson, of Colorado Springs, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder, police said.

The victim's name hasn't been released by police, who say family notifications have not been completed.

Police said the man died of apparent blunt force trauma. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning.

'Cause and manner will be released following the autopsy, ' police said in a news release.

A disturbance call led police to a home at 8265 Camfield Circle at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday. The victim was found dead in the front yard, police said.

The police department's Violent Crimes Unit collected evidence through the night.

Records from the El Paso County Assessor's Office list the property owners as James and Robin Koken from Colorado Springs, since 1996.

Residents described the Austin Bluffs neighborhood as 'usually quiet, ' but otherwise declined to comment.

Around 11 a.m. Wednesday, Randy's Towing removed an older model pickup truck. A dark blue KIA sedan remained in the driveway, with visible damage on its front bumper and part of the hood.

Camfield Circle is located off Austin Bluffs Parkway, north of Woodmen Road.

Police are asking anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious to call 444-7000.
