A man being tested for his blood-alcohol content after reportedly driving while drunk was hit with a stun gun and showered with pepper spray early Tuesday as he tried to run from a Colorado Springs hospital.
Jason Jacobs, 35, was undergoing testing about 3 a.m. when he decided to run for it, police said.
The officer who chased Jacobs shot a stun gun at him twice, but neither shot was effective. The officer used pepper spray when Jacobs resisted a second arrest, police said.
Jacobs was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and other criminal charges, police said.
