After a slight chance of rain Friday evening, Pikes Peak region weather is expected to turn sunny and a bit breezy for the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, much of the area, including Teller County is expected to have similar weather patterns through Sunday. The outlook calls for about a 30 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms between 3 and 10 p.m. Friday before the sun returns for Saturday.
Winds could pick up some momentum through Saturday with gusts expected around 30 mph. Saturday and Sunday should be mostly sunny with winds tapering off early Sunday morning. Gusts should stay in the 15 to 20 mph.
Highs for the weekend will likely be in the high 50s to around 60 degrees for El Paso and Teller counties. The weather service expects overnight lows in the 30s for the entire region.
