A motor vehicle theft investigation resulted in a car crash and no suspect arrest for Colorado Springs police Tuesday.

Shortly before 1 a.m. officers responded to a stolen vehicle call on the 5200 block of Derby Drive, off Astrozon and Powers boulevards.

They spotted the vehicle traveling by South Murray Boulevard and Airport Road but the driver fled before police could stop it.

Police said they later found the vehicle crashed into an unoccupied car at the intersection of Hayman Terrace and South Brentwood Drive, with no driver in sight.

Anyone with information can call police at 444-7000.
