ANGOLA, Ind. (AP) — A sheriff's department in northeast Indiana says it is going to begin citing motorists driving while the county is under a travel warning.

The Steuben County Sheriff's Department says crews working to clear roads have run into problems because of motorists, saying it has been creating dangerous situations. Steuben County is among 54 counties in Indiana under travel warnings where people are being asked to stay off the roads.

The sheriff's department planned to begin giving out citations Monday afternoon.
