People worried about bears in one southern Colorado neighborhood say a woman who lives there, is making matters worse.

She says she's just feeding the birds, and is refusing to stop.

11 News captured the woman, carrying a bag of bird seed and a watering can, around the Broadmoor Bluffs neighborhood known as Broadmoorings.

She is shown reaching into a tree, placing peanuts. She was also spotted scattering bird seen on the ground and placing it in the bird feeders throughout the entire neighborhood.

The tree she is reaching into is the same tree neighbors saw a bear reaching into just hours later for a snack.

"I got pictures of it this morning after she fed the bird supposedly, and the bear was reaching up in the tree to get the bird seed," said one neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous.
