A juvenile wanted on a felony burglary warrant was found sleeping in a stolen car Tuesday morning, police said.

Colorado Springs police officers located a vehicle parked by the side of the road on the 5900 block of Mapleton Drive, south of Vickers Drive, around 12:01 a.m. and discovered it had been reported stolen.

Officers approached the vehicle and found a juvenile male sleeping in the car, but upon making contact with him, the minor refused to exit the vehicle.

Officers reportedly had to break one of the windows and pull the juvenile out.

Police discovered there was an arrest warrant for the minor on suspicion of felony burglary and took him into custody, booking him into the Spring Creek Juvenile Detention Center.

Because of the suspect's age, his identity will not be released, police said.
