Authorities believe one man is connected to three early morning Wednesday burglaries in the Peyton/Falcon area east of Colorado Springs.

Around 3 a.m., El Paso County sheriff's deputies found a widow had been smashed and a safe full of money was stolen from the Sonic Drive-In at 7610 Midnight Road.

At a nearby Wendy's restaurant, police found a broken drive-up window, but it appeared noting was missing, police said.

Surveillance footage from a Safeway store revealed that a man driving a dark-colored Ford had tried to break into the store's gas station shoppette.

Call the El Paso County sheriff's office at 390-5555.
