Host Tacoma defeated the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on a walk-off hit for the second straight night Saturday. It was at least as dramatic as the 14th-inning hit the night/morning before, this being a ninth-inning grand slam by Carlos Peguero off Logan Kensing.
The Sky Sox scored three times in the fifth inning, with Tim Wheeler driving in two runs, and that was all the scoring until the bottom of the ninth. Jason Jaramilo led off the ninth with a homer and the Rainiers loaded the bases with one out, setting the stage for Peguero.
Xavier Nady had three of the Sky Sox's seven hits and scored once.
