Gazette Premium Content Sky Sox can't climb out of early hole against Sacramento

Colorado Springs fell behind by nine runs after two innings and was never able to rally in a 10-2 loss at Sacramento late Monday night.

Sky Sox starter Cory Riordan (4-3) allowed eight earned runs in 1.1 innings.

Tyler Colvin and Kent Matthes had the RBIs for Colorado Springs.

Jeff Francis, who recently was moved to the bullpen, pitched 1.2 and didn't allow any runs.
