Colorado Springs police said alcohol was not a factor in a single-vehicle rollover crash that shut down a portion of Woodmen Road east of Academy Boulevard Saturday night.

The driver of a four-door Saturn was traveling eastbound of E. Woodmen Road about 11 p.m. and drifted off the right side of the road, police said.

The driver tried to steer the vehicle back and lost control, causing the car to roll onto its roof, coming to a rest against the barrier wall that parallels Woodmen Road and causing minor damage to the wall, police said.

Eastbound Woodmen Road was shut down near North Academy Boulevard for about an hour as police investigated and cleared the wreck, according to police reports.

The driver was cited for careless driving, police said.
