LAKEWOOD. - There was a roar across Lakewood Friday morning as singer Katy Perry took to the stage at Lakewood High School for a concert.

More than 2,000 students started to pack the gym at 3 a.m. to see the singer perform on "Good Morning America." The school won a contest for Perry to perform.

She started with her hit Roar at 6:31 a.m. local time. As she performed, the 2,000-plus students in the crowd sang along and took tons of photos and videos.

Perry, in a ponytail and a Lakewood High cheer outfit, jumped rope, sang and had a great time performing on her birthday.
