This year’s election has been stressful so we can all use a little laugh. Showtime and Stephen Colbert are hoping to deliver with “Stephen Colbert’s Live Election Night Democracy’s Series Finale: Who’s Going To Clean Up This Shi*t?” special that will air on Tuesday, November 8 at 7 p.m.
"It'll be all the political comedy you love from my CBS show, with all the swearing and nudity you love from Showtime," said Colbert.
Colbert will speak to a wide group of guests who are prepared to give an electoral breakdown. Airing live from The Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City with a studio audience, the one-hour program will also feature remote segments and several surprise guests, and will reveal who won the presidency.
While “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” has broadcast to live audiences several times in the recent past for the conventions and the presidential and vice presidential debates, this special is the first time the show has partnered with a cable network to produce a live event. Of course this shouldn’t be that surprising as Showtime is owned by CBS.
