A burglary was reported at about 12:40 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of East Columbia Street shortly after the victim kicked the suspect, a former friend, out of her home, a Colorado Springs police report says.

Police say that about 15 minutes after the suspect was forced out of the home a dark colored vehicle parked in front of the victim's house and fired "at least one round," hitting the victim's kitchen window.

No injuries were reported.

Police spokesman Lt. Howard Black could not give any further details about the incident, saying, "The case is very active and the investigation is moving forward."
