A shot was fired as vendors set up for a gun show at the Expo Center at 3650 N. Nevada Saturday morning.

The police investigation determined that a vendor was setting up his display when a shot was accidentally fired into the floor. The round shattered upon impact, resulting in no damage and no injuries.

The vendor reported that he had been test firing the weapon earlier in the week, as it had been previously been returned as defective. After the test, the magazine was removed, but he forgot to empty the chamber of the weapon. The shot went off when the back of the gun was bumped.

The vendor was charged prohibited use of a weapon and asked to leave the property.
