The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is looking for someone impersonating a deputy, according to our news partners at KOAA.

Over the past few days, the Sheriff's Office has investigated two cases in which the victims received a phone call where the caller identified himself as a Deputy from the El Paso County Sheriff's Department.

The suspect told the victim that they owed a fine and a credit card must be provided for payment. During each of these incidents, the victim called the originating number back and it returned to an internal number at the Sheriff's Office.
